The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention program is designed to support residents of communities across the Kharkiv region of all ages and social groups. Activities are open to adults, children, teenagers, and older people who want to learn more about maintaining health and preventing diseases.
Special attention is given to internally displaced persons, residents of communities affected by hostilities, families with children, and people with chronic conditions. The program is also open to volunteers and staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross who wish to improve their knowledge of healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
Participation in program activities is open and free of charge for all community residents where the project is implemented.
Key Areas of Activity
Within the program, the following activities are carried out:
- health awareness and educational sessions;
- practical workshops on building healthy habits;
- activities focused on the prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases;
- physical activity and movement-based sessions;
- motivational meetings and individual consultations;
- medical navigation sessions (how and when to undergo check-ups);
- distribution of health-related informational materials.
Joint activities with other programs of the Ukrainian Red Cross are also conducted.
