The Kharkiv regional organization of the URCS is one of the most powerful organizations in Ukraine in terms of providing humanitarian aid to the population. In addition, our volunteers support medical institutions in the region, provide psychosocial support to people, and conduct first aid training. The organization has a “Tracing Service”. Our volunteers regularly organize blood donation days. Our mobile medical teams visit the most remote villages of the Kharkiv region to help those who need it most, and the social workers of the Home Care program have become a support for almost 300 clients.
During a briefing on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Valentyna Kostenko, deputy head of the Kharkiv Oblast Organization of the URCS, spoke in detail about the main activities of our organization and briefly outlined the enormous amount of work that our volunteers selflessly do every day.
